Arts and Cultural Commission

The City of Hollister Arts & Cultural Advisory Commission is a seven-member commission appointed by the City Council. The Commission is composed of five (5) members representing the City Council of the City Hollister and two (2) youth voting members between the ages of 12 and 18. Terms are concurrent with Council seat.  The Commission meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the City Council Chambers, at City Hall, and other meetings as deemed necessary by the Commission.  Meeting dates may be altered to accommodate holidays and/or special community events.

The Commission will advise the City Council on all matters affecting the culture of the city and to advise and assist other city boards and commissions in the field of the fine arts.  Commissioners will undertake and carry out all functions reasonably necessary to accomplish the objectives and to discharge the functions of the commission; and to exercise such other functions as may be set by the City Council.  In addition, members will establish an effective liaison between the city and local cultural and artistic groups.

Agendas for Arts and Cultural Commission meetings are available online and posted on the bulletin board located on the west alleyway outside of City Hall and available for review at the City Clerk's Office.

Meeting Minutes

The Parks and Recreation office prepares and maintains the official minutes of the Arts and Cultural Commission meetings online. Once the commission approves them, they are made available for public distribution.
