Affordable Inclusionary Housing

The City has always taken an active approach to provide affordable housing for it's residents. Policy decisions and strategies regrading the City's Inclusionary Ordinance balances the need to meet State and Regional housing mandates while addressing the community needs to ensure all income levels are provided housing and affordable housing opportunities.  

The City of Hollister's Below Market Rate Housing Program seeks to make decent, sanitary and safe housing available to residents, workers, and all eligible participants that qualify under the Very Low, Low, or Moderate Income Category.

Based on the information that a person provides in regards to their household size and annual income is the first qualifying factor for placement on the interest/waiting list.
