Lost and Found Pets
Please make sure you contact Hollister Animal Care and Services if you have lost your pet.
The Animal Shelter maintains a directory of lost and found pets available to the public along with advice of how to find a missing pet or reunite a found pet with its owners. The Animal Shelter has micro-chip scanners top check animals for a microchip. If you have found a stray dog or cat after normal business hours, the shelter has night kennels located to the east of the animal shelter building.

If you have lost your pet, please contact the animal shelter either in person or by phone. Please check the Lost Animals as some animals may be available for adoption or will become available soon.
Reporting Emergencies After Hours
- An Animal Control Officer is on standby and available to be dispatched to animal-related emergencies 24 hours a day / 365 days a year.
- If you are experiencing an animal related emergency in progress, call 911 and the appropriate agency will respond.
- If you've found a stray animal after hours:
- Have the animal scanned for a microchip
- Ask your neighbors if they are missing an animal
- Post to Social Media
- If all attempts to locate an owner have been exhausted, contact the non-emergency number at (831) 636-4331
