PUBLIC NOTICE: CANCELLATION OF TOWN HALL MEETINGS

The City of Hollister regrets to announce that the upcoming Town Hall meeting has been cancelled due to concerns expressed by City staff regarding their personal safety.

Given the increasing hostility, hateful rhetoric, and personal attacks directed toward City employees, the City has made the difficult decision to suspend all Town Hall meetings until further notice.

The City remains committed to transparency, public engagement, and open dialogue. However, disagreement over City policies and decisions must never become personal intimidation or harassment of public employees.

Our employees deserve to perform their duties in an environment free from fear, threats, and hostility. Their safety and well-being are a priority.

The City respects the public's right to express concerns, ask difficult questions, and disagree with government decisions. We ask that these discussions remain respectful and constructive.

We appreciate the community's understanding and will provide updates regarding future opportunities for public engagement.
