Backyard Burn & Agricultural Burn Permits

The Burn Season typically starts on *December 1^st of each year, weather and environmental conditions permitting. Contact our office for current status of Burn Season.
*Backyard Burn Permits Expire April 30th of each Year
*Agricultural Burn Permits are valid for 1 year 

Properties located in the State Responsibility Area will not be eligible for a burn permit with the Hollister Fire Department. Use the link below to find out if your property is in the Local Responsibility area or the State Responsibility Area.

If your property is in the Local Responsibility Area, please contact the Fire Prevention Bureau to pay fees and complete the application.
