City of Hollister Welcomes New IT Director, Sean Colt

HOLLISTER – On March 10, 2025, the City of Hollister welcomed Sean Colt as its new IT Director.

Mr. Colt has over 30 years of experience in technology leadership and innovation, with a strong background in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. Before joining the City of Hollister, he served as Senior IT Director at various K-12 organizations, where he led initiatives in 1:1 computing, online learning, and modernization efforts for over 20 years. He also has worked for Dell Computer, Dotcoms, and in the financial sector for multiple years.

He attended Boise State University for his undergraduate studies, earned an MBA from Fresno State University, and holds certifications as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

In his free time, Mr. Colt enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as enduro racing, snowmobiling, and mountain biking.

As IT Director, he will focus on advancing the city’s digital infrastructure, streamlining public services, and ensuring technology supports Hollister’s public safety and community needs.
