City of Hollister Introduces Parks & Recreation Director Charles Wall

HOLLISTER – On August 12, 2024, the City of Hollister welcomed Charles Wall to serve as Parks and Recreation Director. Mr. Wall, Certified Parks and Recreation Professional, C.P.R.P. comes to Hollister with a comprehensive background with 29 years of experience. Most recently he served the County of Tulsa, Oklahoma as their Director of Parks and Social Services, where he managed over 150 employees with an annual budget of $14 million. Previous to that role, Charles served as the Director of Parks at the Reno Sparks Indian Colony in Nevada and as a Recreation and as an Open Space Manager with the City of Walnut Creek, CA.

Mr. Wall holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Natural Resource Management from Concordia University and holds a certificate in Business Administration, Ergonomics and Safety from University of California, Davis. Mr. Wall enjoys attending cultural events, camping, hiking, kayaking, biking, and making art and music with his family.

Director Wall expresses his excitement to begin working with his new team to serve the Hollister community.
